I wanted to share with you one of my greatest wishes for my children. It’s not incredible wealth, a great love or a career they are passionate about, though likely these things will be a side effect of my wish.Read More
Have you ever had a conversation with a lottery winner?
I read recently the lottery have counselling volunteers to help guide new winners through what can be a tricky first few days after they receive the news of their big win. Interestingly the volunteers reported that they hear the same sorts of questions from all the lottery winners...
“Why haven’t I had any sleep?”
“Why do I feel sick?”
“Why do I suddenly burst into tears, and then I suddenly laugh?”
Ten years ago in the dark depths of my chronic illness, I once again decided that keeping a diary of my thoughts, feelings and symptoms of my illness would be a good idea, and might even provide some valuable information as to why I was so sick (it most definitely didn’t and on reflection now probably made it worse). So in 2008 I sporadically kept a diary again, but thank goodness it didn’t last any longer than that. I uncovered this diary recently when clearing out the house and boy did it make for depressing reading.

It’s coming up to my 15 year wedding anniversary.

(These days my life is a lot busier with kids and running my own business, so now I relish a lazy beach holiday).Read More

In my practice this question popped up from one of my clients. It’s a common theme in today’s modern times of fast paced living and immediate gratification. I thought it would be really helpful to share here...Read More
